Episode One

New heartfelt comedy drama from Aisling Bea. Four months after checking out of a rehab facility following a “teeny weeny nervous breakdown,” Aine (Bea) is still putting on a brave face for her concerned sister Shona (Sharon Horgan).

When Aine’s dropped from a dinner party invitation, she calls an old friend from rehab for some company. But things take an awkward turn when she makes an unexpected move on him. At a networking event, Shona connects with new friend Charlotte (Indira Varma).

Episode 2

Aine is interviewed for a private tutoring job teaching English to a young French boy. Etienne (Dorian Grover) has recently lost his mother and finds himself living in London with his reserved father Richard (Tobias Menzies), who he barely knows. But when Aine insists on taking a Bulgarian student to hospital, she’s at risk of missing her first lesson with Etienne and badly letting him down.

Meanwhile Shona arranges a meeting with Charlotte to pitch her the idea for a Women’s Financial Networking event.

Episode 3

Aine and Richard’s relationship gets complicated when she is inadvertently invited for dinner but leaves early after an awkward misunderstanding. Aine concocts a lie to spend the weekend with Shona, much to the annoyance of her boyfriend Vish (Aasif Mandvi). Pushed out of the house by a frustrated Shona, Aine pays a visit to a psychic before an unexpected blind date goes horribly wrong. Meanwhile Shona and Charlotte grow closer as Shona opens up about her worries for her sister.

Episode 4

Aine and Shona’s mother is over from Ireland to visit Vish’s family. Tensions are high, as Aine and her mother haven’t spoken in months, while Shona feels stuck in the middle. Over dinner, Shona surprises Vish’s family by saying she doesn’t want kids. There’s only one solution to the tension – an impromptu talent show.

Episode 5

A text from her ex, Freddie (Chris Geere) catches Aine by surprise. Later, a spontaneous night out with Bradley (Kadiff Kirwan) and his friends gives her the chance to let her hair down. But she bumps into Tom from rehab, who’s started drinking again, and against her better judgement turns to the person least likely to make her feel better.

Episode 6

Romance blooms between Aine and Richard, but she’s caught off guard when she turns up unexpectedly to find another woman in his house.

Vish proposes to Shona, but it doesn’t exactly go to plan. When Shona finds out that Aine knew his intentions before she did, a huge argument ensues over secrets the sisters have been keeping from one another.
