Sandi Toksvig to embark on more Extraordinary EscapesCategory: News Release
The award-winning series, Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig, is to return for a third series. In each episode broadcaster and national treasure, Sandi Toksvig, entertains a new holiday companion and makes them laugh like only a seasoned funny woman can. With a refreshingly female-skewed take on all things historical, Sandi is a fascinating tour guide who encourages each guest to stop, ponder and enjoy the simple joys found in nature and the world around us. This season she’s joined by five queens of comedy, to gasp at the British Isles’ most breathe-taking landscapes, and kick back in fifteen of the most extraordinary escapes.
Each of the properties, ranging from unique historical renovations, architecturally outstanding new-builds and super-eco hideaways, are built to take advantage of the stunning locations they occupy. From a super-contemporary boathouse hovering over the water’s edge in the Lake District, to an isolated Irish Cottage perched on a hillside in rural County Kerry – Sandi finds plenty time for candid ‘off-duty’ chats and revealing conversation.
Sandi will be joined by a new guest in each episode - all women she has been longing to spend quality time with.
