Do you feel judged for your appearance? Does the way people view you make life emotionally challenging? Do you feel like the face people see isn’t the person you know you are inside?
Ideally we’d all be accepted for who we are but research shows that society can be unkind and unfair to people who have visible facial differences.
It could be a feature someone was born with or the result of a trauma or a condition.
It might be a skin complaint or one specific feature someone has been made to feel sad about. And we know that too often, the solution feels out of reach for someone on a normal budget.
Flabbergast TV are making a new series for Channel 4 that will offer support to people who are struggling to accept their face – or how others have reacted to it.
There will be life-changing advice and emotional guidance from an expert with lived experience in visible facial differences. There will also be access to cutting-edge treatment from a team of renowned and passionate doctors.
If this sounds like the kind of journey you or someone you know might be interested in going on, then we would love to hear from you.
You can apply here: www.flabbergast.tv/apply
or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of the team will be in touch to find out the best way to communicate with you.
There is no obligation to receive treatment and whatever decision you reach we’ll be behind you.
